Instructions to make Millet Dosa:

  1. For Dosa - in three separate bowls soak Millet, Urad Dal & Fenugreek seeds for 6 hours each and 30 mins prior to blending soak Poha..
  2. Strain water from all bowls and in a blender add first Millet, Urad Dal & Methi and Poha. Add enough water to make a smooth paste. Add Rock salt and keep for fermentation for 6 hours.
  3. For Hot Red Chutney - in a wok heat oil, add cumin seeds, chopped onion, chopped ginger, Chana Dal, whole red chilies. Fry for 2-3 mins. Add salt and set aside. Cool and add to a blender. Make a paste and add some water to make a smooth paste. Hot Red Chutney is ready.
  4. For Dosa Fry - heat a Dosa Tawa and sprinkle water to see whether it’s well heated. When water is absorbed the Tawa is ready. Add 1 ladle of the batter and spread well. Let it fry for 2 mins. Spread Ghee on all sides and add hot red Chutney on all sides. Flip sides and Dosa is ready. Set aside..
  5. To plate I added Coconut Chutney, Coriander - Mint Chutney and enjoyed my breakfast.
